The Drive Home

This morning it started snowing, but not early enough to delay school. It snowed all day, and the drive home looked like this:

Between school and home, an 18-minute drive on city streets, the kids and I saw ONE snow plow.

Can you see the guy out there walking his dog? They have the right idea. They're nowhere near the road! My dogs were happy to get out and play in the snow. See?

Even though it's Yarn Haven's One Year Anniversary, I think staying home tonight is a good idea. Stay warm!

Love the dogs in snow and the gently rolling hills. Driving in the sometimes blinding snow? Not so much.

Take care, Karen.

i went. it did take me about a half hour or more to get there from my place, and 20 minutes of that was just from the trail to the light on the other side of the bridge, but still... it didn't last long and i was to bren's by 9. it wouldn't be a YH anniversary if there wasn't at least a level 1 snow emergency! hee! glad you and your crew enjoyed it!

We didn't get that much snow - I'm sure my pups wish we would. :)

Yes, good idea to stay home. I always worry about being in icy snow after dark with crazy drivers out!

My dog HATES the snow! I wish he'd play in it b/c I think it's fun but he gets all annoyed and picks his paws up real high... it's pretty funny to watch, actually.
